I have used the term-base when I actually refer to the parent object housing all the cannon mesh parts. The barrel rotation is still sloppy and needs a bit of work. Not to mention the cannonball hitting the ground. Ideally, a hit should be registered against the ground and make the surrounding enemies dynamic before applying outward force to all the enemies. And I dont think its called an 'annotation' :) Lots of things still need finetuning and the API also needs to evolve for a better and cleaner implementation Source code can be found here - https://github.com/ForgingStation/Battle-Simulation-Basic-Setup---Unity-ECS-DOTS
