A better way to follow your YouTube subscriptions. Organize channels by priority, hide watched and uninteresting videos, put shorts where they belong. Your choice where that is.
Anatomy of the feed
Favorites take more space. Everything else stays in time order through a rolling seven-day window.
A favorite card spans two columns. State chips and a progress bar mark promoted, watched, and in-progress videos.
New uploads from active, visible channels since your last visit.
Uploads you pinned so they stay easy to reach. Your call, not an algorithm's.
Videos you started on the GridVids watch page but haven't finished.
The previous day, isolated so a busy yesterday doesn't bury today.
Older days through the seven-day window, each under its own heading.
Video actions
Every card has the same short toolbar. Pick a state and the video moves to where you'd expect to find it later.
Push a video out of the main grid. Find it again in the dedicated Hidden feed.
Mark something handled — watched elsewhere, or not needed. Drops out of the default grid.
Pin an upload into the Don't Miss section at the top of the feed.
Watch inside GridVids and unfinished videos land here automatically.

Beyond the grid
A real watch page that records your progress, and search that stays inside the channels you chose.
YouTube embed, Plyr for custom controls, or a privacy-friendly Invidious instance. Autoplay and captions are optional.
Optional SponsorBlock skips sponsor segments on Plyr and YouTube embed playback.
Keyboard controls, description chapters, and saved resume points that feed Continue Watching.

Bypass the watch page. Faster, but progress can't be saved.

How it works
GridVids only reads your YouTube data — it never posts on your behalf.
Google OAuth with the YouTube readonly scope. Your login stays with Google.
Each channel you follow becomes a card source in GridVids.
New uploads appear as cards through background feed polling — no refresh needed.
Subscribe or unsubscribe on YouTube, then sync manually. Limited to once a day.
Your subscriptions appear on the feed as they import. Then you can choose favorite channels, adjust the grid, and decide how you want Shorts to appear — no setup gate required.
