We have the payroll for the Great Pyramids, but we don't have the blueprints. This is a construction logbook from 4,500 years ago. A site manager named Merer documented how his crew boated Tura limestone to "Akhet-Khufu" — the pyramid site. How the stone came in. Who they hired. What they were paid. And no — they weren't slaves. Archaeologists found entire workers' districts at Giza: bakeries, workshops, medical teams, and the tombs of the craftsmen themselves. Skilled labor crews, not an oppressed workforce. So we have records for everything… except how they actually built the thing. Almost like they knew we'd be arguing about it for centuries.
