Out of every theory on how the pyramids were built, this is the one most people believe. It's also the one with the biggest hole in it. The idea is simple: drag the blocks up a ramp as the pyramid rises. The trouble starts when you work out how long that ramp would need to be for a normal human to survive the climb. But, there's evidence of a ramp at another archaeological site in Egypt. A Khufu-era ramp at an alabaster quarry called Hatnub was discovered in 2018, climbing at 20% or steeper. They built ramps. They just built them steep, and into a quarry wall rather than up the side of anything. Do you think this means there might have been a ramp used to build the Great Pyramids as well? #Pyramids #AncientEgypt #Giza #RampTheory #Egyptology #AncientEngineering
