September in Scotland is one of my favorite things in the World. Getting to retire the SPF 100, seeing the nights get darker, and feeling the air get crisper… it all warms my heart, and, in the past couple of years, a new appreciation has developed for the wild berries. There’s something quite nice about finally becoming the kind of character you read about and looked up to as a child. I’m referring to the very hungry caterpillar. Two years ago, I transformed my berries into a peanut butter and jam sandwich where I made everything from scratch. The following year, I took things to the next level and made a bramble pie from scratch, and this year… I haven’t had the musters to create anything… so I just gubbed the berries with some lemon cake that I definitely didn’t just buy. I’ve still got some berries left over though, so I’m all ears on what they should be transformed into once the musters arrive. #scotland #scottish #slowliving
