Here are the coolest homes I found for sale in Scotland this month, tiny house edition! It’s a unique selection of properties today as they’re all owned (and were designed!) by the same couple; architect Roderick James and interior designer Amanda Markham. I actually visited all of these tiny houses last year, so rather than using photos, I can show you clips from that trip and vouch for how lovely these properties are in person. First up is the AirShip, which is an incredible aluminium-clad cabin that gives you panoramic views across the Sound of Mull. This place is unlike anywhere else I’ve ever visited, and unsurprisingly, has become one of the highest rated and most wish-listed Airbnb properties in the UK. Next up is the PilotHouse, a two-storey retreat with a unique rounded form and aviation themed decor by way of planes, artwork, and… goggles. When staying here, I asked Roderick about his propensity to create rounded homes and he explained that he’s drawn to this style as it creates a feeling of being embraced by the building, which, having been here, is a feeling that I can attest to being true, and confirm is an extremely comforting experience. Completing the tiny trio is The Captain’s Cabin, a one-bedroom nautical-themed tiny round house that sits atop The Old Chapel, which provides two bedrooms that could be used by the new owner, or for housekeeper accommodation. The four properties sit on 4 acres of elevated land, giving you incredible views looking out to Tobermory and the Atlantic Ocean. Over the past four years, the properties have brought in a gross annual income of £100,000 and are up as a collection for offers over £750,000. #propertyinvestment #realestate #tinyhouse
