It finally happened! Epic LEGO went out to sea in order to test an outboard motor made completely out of LEGO Technic elements and mounted on a small inflatable boat. The initial design came out quite slow and only worked in BuWizz's ludicrous mode. An updated version of the motor is on the way, with one more propeller powered by two additional motors, as well as higher RPM on all propellers. That should be enough to move one person a bit faster. Outboard motor V1.0 specs : Drive : 4x LEGO XL motors powering two propellers Control : 1x BuWizz Remote controller : An old Nexus 5X :) Footage was shot on LG G6 cellphone and Apeman A77 action camera.
