Project Speed - Part II It's been almost two years since my first attempt to build a fast sprinting vehicle. This time, I decided to design something that can be driven on dirt and tarmac, with the ability to execute fast sprints on a straight line. To achieve this, I built a robust rear-wheel drive vehicle with front axle steering and suspension powered by two BuWizz motors. For the high-speed sprints, I decided to go for a hybrid drive, using a combination of the electric BuWizz motors and a "gentle" push from four model rocket motors. Project Speed will be further developed soon. Speed Concept V2.0 specs : Power : 2x BuWizz motors Steering : 1x RC servo motor Battery : 3-cell LiPo Remote Controller : FlySky FS-i6 with 6-channel receiver Electronic Speed Control (ESC) : Hobbywing Quicrun 880 Footage was shot on DJI Action 2 (Vehicle onboard and various shots) and Google Pixel 6a smartphone (build process and various shots).
