I Bought an Instant Pot for My Van… and Immediately Ran Out of Power 😆

I finally bought an Instant Pot for my van… and of course, my very first meal turned into a small adventure. 😅 In this video, I take you along as I go pick up my Instant Pot Duo Plus, explain why I decided to ditch gas cooking, and why my old gas stove just wasn’t working for me anymore. I also show what it’s actually like to cook your first meal in an electric pressure cooker when you live in a van — including the moment I completely ran out of power before the pot even reached pressure. Later in the video, I’m in Sydney, where my friend has just upgraded her own “wonder pot” — and let’s just say it’s a whole different league. She has the brand new Thermomix, a machine that tells you how to cook, has guided recipes, and even weighs everything for you. She made an incredible moussaka on my first day there, and for the next month I get to experiment with this absolute beast of a kitchen appliance… before going back to my $135 Instant Pot and figuring out whether I can really make it work for full-time van life. If you live in a van or camper and use an Instant Pot, let me know in the comments — how do you power it, and what have you learned the hard way? And if you know of a non-toxic, miniature electric kettle, please tell me — I’m still on the hunt. I hope you’re having a lovely Christmas! ❤️ #VanLife #InstantPot #VanLifeCooking #OffGridLiving #CampervanLife #ElectricCooking #PressureCooking #VanLifeAustralia #MinimalistLiving
