Standard pipeline nodes cover the common actions, but production workflows usually need rules specific to your data, naming conventions, or quality checks. Custom Script nodes let Pipeline Automation run your own Python scripts alongside standard Asset Manager steps - including Asset Transformer SDK operations you'd otherwise run by hand. In this video, we build a complete pipeline that takes a SolidWorks model from an uploaded asset, tags its metadata, decimates it, cleans the hierarchy, fills tessellation holes, swaps materials, exports an FBX, and delivers the result as a separate optimized asset. Every time the model changes upstream, the pipeline handles the rest. This is part of a series on the asset journey through the Unity Industry Cloud: organizing production files, reviewing with collaborators, using assets in Unity Studio and the Unity Editor, and automating processing with Pipeline Automation. 🔗 Download the scripts used in this video: https://on.unity.com/4xgwsAT [] Introduction [] Pipeline Automation overview [] Custom scripts in Pipeline Automation [] Pipeline anatomy [] Project prerequisites [] Set up your Pipeline Automation _______________ Stay connected with us: Games Twitter/X: https://x.com/unitygames Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/unitytechnologies/ Discord: https://discord.com/invite/unity Discussions: https://discussions.unity.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/unity/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/unity3d.in/ Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/unity.com Company Twitter/X: https://x.com/unity #Unity #UnityIndustry #PipelineAutomation
