This tutorial video shows you how to create your first Unity worlds with Gaia or Gaia Pro using the Book of the Dead Biome. Chapters: To follow along with this video, you will need an empty Unity HDRP project. If you do not own Gaia for Unity 6 or Gaia Pro VS yet, you can get them from the PW Store: https://shop.procedural-worlds.com/pages/gaia-suite Alternatively, you can also get them from the Unity Asset Store: Gaia Pro VS: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/terrain/gaia-pro-vs-terrain-trees-grass-water-for-unity-6-263149 Gaia for Unity 6: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/terrain/gaia-for-unity-6-264629 The world creation workflow shown in this video works the same in both Gaia for Unity 6 and Gaia Pro VS. However, there are a few differences you should be aware of: • Gaia for Unity 6 already includes the Book of the Dead Biome. • Due to file size restrictions, Gaia Pro VS does not include the Book of the Dead Biome. However, you can download it for free here: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/terrain/book-of-the-dead-biome-for-gaia-pro-vs-345752 • Gaia for Unity 6 does not include the advanced terrain shader GTS. The sections toward the end of the video that demonstrate how to apply and use GTS are intended for Gaia Pro VS users. If you are using Gaia for Unity 6, you can upgrade to Gaia Pro VS or purchase GTS separately. Applying GTS to your terrain will then work exactly as shown in this video.
