This antique industrial press was fully disassembled and restomodded according to my own vision — not restored to original factory condition. The main cast steel body was completely stripped and sandblasted, then structurally repaired using welding and hand filing before receiving a durable powder coating in RAL 7024 (Graphite Grey). All brass components were carefully cleaned, repaired, polished to a high gloss, nickel plated, and finally copper plated to achieve a warm, classic metallic appearance. The springs were reshaped using controlled heat, then re-hardened to restore proper tension and function. The rotor and moving components were also polished to a mirror finish, nickel plated, and copper coated to match the overall restomod aesthetic. This project is a deliberate restomod: a blend of old industrial engineering and modern finishing techniques. The goal was not historical accuracy, but to create a functional, durable, and visually striking machine that reflects my own taste and craftsmanship. If you enjoy tool restoration, industrial machinery, metalworking, and creative restomods, this project is for you. Thanks you fine people! ♥ #restoration #tools #metalwork #DIY #satisfying
