In this episode of my 1985 Renault 4 restoration, I completely restore and rebuild the entire front axle, including the front suspension, steering rack, control arms, shock absorbers, brake components, and many other original parts. The complete assembly was disassembled, inspected, cleaned, laser cleaned, sandblasted, powder coated and rebuilt. Worn suspension and steering components were replaced where necessary, while reusable original parts were restored and preserved. The damaged aluminum steering rack housing was repaired by welding before being rebuilt with new components. After countless hours of restoration work, the fully rebuilt front axle is finally installed onto the restored chassis from the previous episode. This video covers every step of the process, from rusty and worn parts to a fully restored front suspension assembly ready for another lifetime on the road.
