Long before social media or business cards, skilled stone masons found another way to advertise - their own work. At the Chaukhandi Tombs in Sindh, Pakistan, some of the craftsmen carved their names directly onto the tombs they created. It was a way to showcase their skill and reputation, helping future customers know exactly who had produced the intricate carvings. These centuries-old signatures offer a fascinating glimpse into the lives of the artisans behind one of Pakistan's most remarkable historical sites.
