One of the most interesting things I noticed while travelling around Karachi was just how late the city stays awake. Karachiites seem to be serious night owls. Shops stay open late, restaurants can be serving customers well past midnight, and it’s not unusual for the city to still feel alive at 2 or even 3 AM. It felt noticeably different from many other parts of Pakistan, where things tend to wind down earlier. Karachi’s late-night culture is a big part of the city’s character. So if you want to get stuff done without the crowds, do it in the morning... as long as where you want to go is open.
