One of the most touching details at the Chaukhandi Tombs is that many families were buried side by side. As generations passed, new tombs were built next to older ones, creating family burial plots that have survived for centuries. Walking among them gives you a glimpse into the lives, traditions, and legacies of the communities that once lived here. The Chaukhandi Tombs, near Karachi in Sindh, date from the 15th to 18th centuries and are famous for their beautifully carved sandstone monuments.
