AI replicas of deceased loved ones, apps that ride the line of legality popping up faster than the government can shut them down, and a world trending towards peak-capitalism all felt like aspects of a Cyberpunk story to me. But it wasn't a story, this was happening in real life. Being able to find such a connection felt like a calling to me, maybe similar to that glimpse of the future he had all those years ago. That's the "Cyber" aspect of "Synapse". Pulling off a short film about said things on just $2000 USD? Now that's Punk. 🎞️ About the Film: Kenneth Pulgar-Vidal - Director, Writer, Producer Rina Hoshino - Producer Hamish Campbell - Director of Photography Charlotte Mai Aoki - AD Hiroki Ohsawa - Location Sound Cast: Rina Hoshino Derrick Dover Koshi Uehara Wataru Narita Connect with DUST: Website 🌐: http://www.watchdust.com Follow Us on Facebook 👍: https://www.facebook.com/watchdust/ Follow Us on Instagram 📷: https://www.instagram.com/watchdust/ Follow us on TikTok 📱: https://www.tiktok.com/@watch_dust #DUST #scifi #shortfilm Submit Your Short Film: https://filmfreeway.com/alterdustsubmissions NOTE: Only completed shorts will be considered.
