I grew up far from France, on an island, with a mother whose love felt like a whole universe. When I started making this film — alone, in my apartment — I wanted to capture that: the interior world as a refuge, memory as resistance. The surveillance cameras came naturally. We live in a world that watches us, tracks us, reduces us. But what no camera can ever reach is what we hold inside — the flower of joy, the intimate space where colors bloom and the boundary between self and other disappears. Mom is my attempt to make that invisible world visible. 🎞️ About the Film: Directed by: Kajika Aki Ferrazzini Animation: Kajika Aki Ferrazzini Graphic Design: Kajika Aki Ferrazzini Storyboard: Kajika Aki Ferrazzini Music: Arthur Dairaine, Théophile Loaec Sound: Théophile Loaec Editing: Kajika Aki Ferrazzini Distribution & International Sales: Silex Films Connect with DUST: Website 🌐: http://www.watchdust.com Follow Us on Facebook 👍: https://www.facebook.com/watchdust/ Follow Us on Instagram 📷: https://www.instagram.com/watchdust/ Follow us on TikTok 📱: https://www.tiktok.com/@watch_dust #DUST #scifi #shortfilm Submit Your Short Film: https://filmfreeway.com/alterdustsubmissions NOTE: Only completed shorts will be considered.
