Where is the thing I need to change?" – Never hear this question again! Visualise tasks, issues and documentation in 3D space, directly within Unity scenes. Asset Store link: https://bit.ly/scenenotes_as Programmers can request changes to level designers, or the design team can communicate internally by placing tasks exactly where they belong, next to the object or geometry to be changed. Notes are stored locally as ScriptableObjects and not in the scene. This means that adding, modifying or deleting a note won't dirty the scene. This makes Scene Notes version control friendly, as it reduces the possibility of conflicts. Some potential use cases: - Level design tasks can be visualised exactly where they belong, next to the object or geometry to be changed. This is perfect for open-world games, MMOs, and in general games where space matters. - Internal QA can add positional data to bug reports, to help developers track them down. - Game designers can write documentation or lore cards, and place them directly in the scene to provide context for environment artists. - If you work with an outsourcing studio producing 3D models, you can leave revision notes directly next to each asset, in the showcase scene where they drop the models. Scene Notes is a productivity boost for all games with 3D or 2D spaces, so you will never have to hear "Where is the thing I need to change?" again. --- If you have feedback on Scene Notes, feel free to write to [email protected] or hop on my Discord (https://discord.com/invite/rCRug7Szr8) to have a chat.
