This is a grey oyster mushroom playing a Yamaha drum pad connected to various synthesizers in Ableton Live. Bio-electrical signals in the mushroom control the bionic arms that play the instrument. The LED lights are also triggered by the mushroom. There's a few LFOs on the go to give the electronic music a bit more movement and a random note generator so it's not too repetitive.
A few things went slightly wrong with this video. One of the arms dropped off and the pad isn’t always triggering on the left arm because it’s not hitting the middle of it. Also the right arm isn’t doing much compared to the other two. Despite that we think it turned out well. The lights add some extra energy and the ambient music work well with the video.
