Did you know… dogs have eyebrows… but wolves don’t? It’s one of the most fascinating differences between them. Dogs evolved a tiny muscle above the eye that lets them raise their inner eyebrow — creating those soft, expressive “puppy dog eyes” that humans instinctively respond to. Over thousands of years, we didn’t just tame dogs… we shaped their faces to communicate with us. Wolves never needed that. Their faces are far more neutral and controlled — their communication comes through posture, movement, ear position, and subtle shifts in behaviour, rather than eyebrow movement. And then there’s Ocean. Sitting right between two worlds. A blue wolfdog… carrying the intensity of the wolf… but with the expressive face of the dog. You can actually see that bridge between wild and domestic in her expressions. Tonight on Animal Watch, I reveal the science behind this incredible difference… and what it tells us about the evolution of dogs. 7:30pm on YouTube. . . #wolf #wolfdog #dogfacts #animalfacts #wildlife
