My WOLDOG KILLED a rabbit! - How to trade when your dog resource guards.

Most people thought I should have walked over and simply taken the rabbit from my wolfdog.....Instead... I negotiated. That one decision sparked thousands of comments, with many people asking: "Why didn't you just tell him to drop it?" The answer reveals one of the biggest differences between wolfdogs and domestic dogs. In this episode, I explain why possessiveness isn't about dominance or a "bad dog"—it's a deeply ingrained survival instinct inherited from the wolf. You'll discover why trying to train these instincts away often fails, why trading is one of the safest ways to work with many wolfdogs, and why understanding nature is far more powerful than fighting it. If you've ever wondered what it's really like living with a wolfdog—or you're thinking about owning one—this is a video you shouldn't miss. 🐺 Featuring River, my 50% wolfdog. 👇 Have you ever had to trade with your wolfdog or dog to get something back?
