Tonight we seek the ghost dog of the Mermaid Inn, Rye. The UK's most haunted hotel. We have booked Dr Syn's bedchamber where the ghost dog and his owner have been seen and the fur of the dog even touched. Blue Wolfdogs Ocean and River have accompanied us this evening to try and make a connection with the dog, plus we have teamed up with top youtube paranormal investigators The Supernatural UK and 'intuitive' Diane Chambers.
One of the most haunted places in England, The Mermaid Inn in Rye has a guest list that extends well beyond the living. Built in the 12th century and once a notorious smugglers’ den, this ancient inn is home to a host of restless spirits. Guests have reported ghostly duelists fighting with swords in Room 16, a woman in white sitting silently in a chair before vanishing, and shadowy figures gliding through locked doors. In Room 17, cold spots and moving clothes are blamed on a murdered smuggler’s lover, while bottles and furniture mysteriously shift in the night. Even the staff admit they won’t enter certain rooms alone. If you stay here, you might leave with more than just a story — you might bring one of The Mermaid Inn’s ghosts home with you.
