In this video, I show how we get ready for New Year in Yakutia. For us, New Year is the main holiday of the year, and we celebrate it on the night of December 31 to January 1. In some countries, Christmas is the most important winter holiday. Here, Christmas is celebrated on January 7, so all the preparations, decorations, and ожидание праздника are connected mainly with New Year. You will see how we decorated the house, put up several Christmas trees, made ice lanterns outside in –50°C weather, and created a festive atmosphere step by step. All of this was done slowly, over several days, during weekends and evenings. At the end of the video, we celebrate New Year together as a family, prepare a festive table, listen to the traditional New Year speech, and finish the night with fireworks. 🎥 Watch More from Unknown Yakutia: Inside Yakutsk’s Extreme Winter Markets https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEdVc4dVKZg Life and Traditional Winter Fishing in the Coldest Place on Earth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3vzxi9Pm8k&t=1s Life in a Remote Yakutian Village https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vSuotUypF0 The Dangers of Melting Ice Roads https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tJaDlFvg-c&t=7s ❤️ Support the Channel If you enjoyed this video, please: 👍 Like the video 💬 Comment which experiment surprised you most 🔔 Subscribe for more life and science from the coldest place on Earth! 🏷️ Tags #ExtremeCold #Yakutia #ChristmasInYakutia #-52°C #NewYearInYakutia #LifeInYakutia #ColdestPlaceOnEarth ___________________________________________________________________________ We Wish You a Merry Christmas by Twin Musicom is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
