Me and The Game Awards have had a complicated relationship lol... but this year? I'm actually paying attention again 👀 Three indie games in the GOTY lineup, a small French studio breaking nomination records (Clair Obscur has 12!), while some major releases couldn’t crack the list.
Last year, Swen Vincke stood on the stage and basically handed the industry a cheat code for success - make great games you actually want to play, respect your devs, respect your players. So which studios were actually listening... and which ones still haven't gotten the memo? 🤔
💬Let me know! What’s your GOTY pick?
