It’s been a super exciting week! Summer showcase season came in hot this year, and of course it all circled right back to the conversation we can never seem to escape…. women in games 👀
In this video we chat about studios that build confidently for the audience they already have, vs. the ones that don’t… and then go into PR mode for it. Talking about you, God of War: Laufey (aka Laundry) and the very real backlash, and how all of that stacks up against Shift Up doing the complete opposite with Stellar Blade: Blood Rain and their newest protagonist, Evie.
Plus! A ton of other things from State of Play, Summer Game Fest, and the Xbox showcase - FF7 Revelation, RE: Veronica, Fable's whole... situation, Palworld, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Alien: Isolation 2, Gears of War: E-Day, and a stacked lineup of games people are excited for! 🎮
💬 What's the one announcement from this week that you can't wait for?
