Tägermoos is an unassuming strip of land in northern Switzerland, right on the border with Germany. Yet something feels off: German road signs stand on Swiss soil, and hardly anyone lives here. The reason is as unusual as it is fascinating—Tägermoos is Swiss territory administered by Germany, governed by a web of unique rules and exceptions. Sounds unbelievable? It is.
