'Speculation Point' Utsugi Detective Agency (Remix) - Famicom Detective Club

in celebration of emio: the smiling man's upcoming release, we're hittin' the (famicom detective) club with a house remix of the theme that plays at the utsugi detective agency! so get your dancing shoes and thinking caps on and move to the beat of the case! hey everyone! i'm finally back with another remix and this time it's from something a little unexpected, but if you really think about it you shouldn't be that surprised. i'm a huge fan of ace attorney and so when the famicom detective club games were remade and released a few years ago, i jumped at the opportunity to give them a go -- and i enjoyed every second. so what better way to show my appreciation than to tackle it in remix form! these games have a lovely soundtrack and you don't hear much about it so i've taken upon myself to spread the word! i was mostly inspired the flute that plays in various interpretations of the theme -- the missing heir title screen and the girl who stands behind office. i really enjoy the calm and emotionally sweeping nature of the original themes but i felt like putting my own spin on it by shifting it into a dance track, which i hadn't done in a while! so my version of the track is driven by the house beat and piano groove, and of course the live flute sample recorded by yours truly! it's actually the very first time i've recorded flute even though i have a background in it ahaha. i don't claim to be an expert so i was very economical with it i think just recording the main line and just playing around with chopping and effects. i think it turned out well as a result! i hope you all enjoy my debut as a flautist :3 anyways, aside from all that, i want to thank everyone as always for the ongoing support! my last release was my single 'puddle' and the reception was beyond imagination, just overwhelmingly positive and i am so so seriously and totally grateful that something i love and loved to work on has touched so many people! i'm so happy to also get this track out to celebrate emio (which i will obviously be playing the heck out of!) and i definitely have some more things for the other stuff that's happening across the next month or so (ace attorney investigations collection 👀)! so keep your eyes and ears out for that when it happens!
