Reminiscence ~ An Ashen Waltz (Remix) - The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles 【COMMISSION】

The Great Ace Attorney is finally out in the West, and I know I'm a little late to the party, but that's because I've been busy finishing the two games myself! I will always very much appreciate the soundtrack of this series and what better way to celebrate than with an arrangement. There are some big hits in the OST (which I'll get to someday!) but the lesser known tracks also deserve appreciation, and I was so glad to have someone commission me to do just that! This piece was commissioned by ProPinkist, a big fan of the character to which this particular theme pertains to. When she approached me with the request, the main points to note were: upbeat, emotional, and acoustic. Another key point was the music box/celeste sound, as it's such an important part of the original track and also hold significant meaning for the case in which the theme plays. Immediately, my mind went to Professor Layton! And you can definitely tell I've drawn some major inspiration from the main Layton theme here; from the style, down to the instrumentation. I think it fits really well with the theme, and obviously I took my own liberties with it as well, with lots of cool solos in line with the Latin jazz style. I'm super proud with how it turned out, and I had an amazing time working on it, even though it took a little longer than expected given I'm not too experienced with this kind of feel. Thanks everyone for sticking around! I know things have been a bit spotty this year (as always LOL) so I'm very grateful for you all who continue to support me!
