Catnip Woods - hyquo (sheddy) 【ORIGINAL】

A cute little track encompassing the joys of playing with a cat! This track was made for Audio Secret Santa '21. I received demisemihemidemisemiquaver's request which specifically asked for something to "represent the thrill and sincerity of attaching tongs to a cat's face", and I chose to interpret this by incorporating samples of cats and tongs. It was also suggested to be written in the style of Mark Sparling's "A Short Hike" OST, so the track frames the concept around a VGM-style wooded area theme. This was my first time participating in the Audio Secret Santa and it was an absolute blast. I think I got pretty lucky with this prompt that was immediately inspiring. Straight away I thought about recording percussion with some tongs laying around at home and gathering cat noises! Huge thanks to Laluune and Emdasche for lending the vocal talents of their cats, Ragnar and Freyja, and Buki (respectively) -- they were a massive help and this could not have been made without them!
