In Christianity, saints are considered some of the holiest people to have ever walked the earth. They feature prominently in Christian art—though many of these depictions are disturbing, to say the least. From the skinless statue of Saint Bartholomew to the armoured Skeleton of Saint Pancratius, these images offer a haunting glimpse into the lives of Christian saints and the many legends that surround them. So—who are these saints? What kinds of trials did they face? And what secrets do these artworks contain?
I hope you enjoy this one, there are plenty more intriguing christian relics out there... Thank you for 908K subscribers.
