Of all the monsters in The Odyssey, few are more terrifying than the Cyclops: a brutal giant of immense strength with a single, blinking eye. But what if the Cyclops wasn’t entirely a myth? One theory suggests the legend began with elephant skulls, mistaken by the ancient Greeks for a race of one-eyed giants. And that’s only the beginning. In this video, I want to retell the story of Homer’s Odyssey through the monsters we meet along the way. Where did they come from? And what can they reveal about the people behind them? So let's set sail across the wine-dark sea, as we to explore the origins of The Odyssey's monsters. Thank you for 1.02M subscribers!
