The Dead Sea Scrolls are a gigantic collection of ancient writings, preserved for in small clay jars for millennia. Along with some the oldest biblical manuscripts ever discovered, there were a number of other scrolls previously unknown to scholarship —writings that revealed the inner workings of a secret community, and apocalyptic prophecies about a war at the end of time.
The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in the late 1940s revolutionised the field of biblical studies, and revealed secrets about the history of the Bible and ancient Judaism. But what do they say? How were they discovered? And who did they belong to?
In this video, I want to take you on a journey through the Dead Sea Scrolls, and explore the lost history of one of the most important discoveries in the history of the Bible…
