Kendo is a Japanese martial art descended from samurai swordsmanship, and it's still practiced in dojos around the world today. We'll be going over the Kendo Basics. We go over: what kendo is, why fighters wear protective armor (bogu), and how points are scored with a bamboo sword (shinai). Known as "the way of the sword," kendo goes beyond winning. In Japan it's even taught to police officers to build character and empathy. #Kendo #Japan #Japanese #Dojo #Shinjutsu #Samurai #kendobasics Got a story idea for us?
