Hello It follows to Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/garage_restoration/ Today I bring you a clip with the restoration of a less common hammer , the hammer was very rusty and the handle crooked and rotten . 1 .I cut and removed the old handle . 2. I used sandblasting to remove the first layer of rust 3. Then I used electrolysis to deeply remove rust 4. I used the belt sander to straighten the surfaces 5.I applied a layer of bluing , to eliminate the possibility of rusting again . 6. Then I applied a polish on the ends to make the eye more pleasant. 7. I started making a new handle, choosing an acacia wood 8. I did this manually, with the help of various woodworking tools. 9 Finally I greased it with flax lions and stuck my head in it . I hope this clip will help you make a new handle or restore your own hammer.
