Hello Today I bring you a restoration of a billhook bought at a flea market in Paris .There were traces of blows on the outside, the leather handle was very damaged. The rust had completely covered it. I mounted the damaged pieces of leather and trashed it, then prepared the blade and metal part for sandblasting. After sandblasting, I used a file to remove the imperfections, then I sanded with a beld grinder . I polished the blade with sandpaper until it became a mirror .I started building the handle from scratch, at first I used a polished bronze piece until the mirror came, I continued to use pieces of aluminum and pieces of walnut wood joined together. Then I used tung oil for protection. The last piece, after sandblasting, I straightened and applied hot bluing for protection . My camera Panasonic HC-VXF990
