In this beginner-friendly tutorial, we’ll build a fully playable 2D Asteroids-style game in Unity. We'll start from an empty project, and over the course of the video develop into a finished build you can share.
This course is designed to help you understand not just how to build the game, but why we structure things the way we do so you can apply these skills to your own projects.
Throughout the video, we’ll explore the Unity Editor and get comfortable with C# as we spawn and destroy objects, handle collisions and physics, and read player input. We’ll add UI to track score and lives, build a complete game loop, and finish by packaging everything into a game you can share.
