'Gitanjali' is a gorgeous book of poetry by Rabindranath Tagore. It was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913, which made Tagore the first non-European (and to date, the only Indian) to receive the award. The first time I heard an excerpt from it, I knew I had to set it to music someday. Check out this stunning verse: "The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures." Absolutely beautiful. 🎧https://christophertin.lnk.to/SongOfferings #SongOfferings #ChristopherTin #ChoralMusic #RabindranathTagore #DeccaGold #Kantorei #PoetryInMusic #ChoralWorks #NewMusic #AlbumRelease
