Inside this Nvidia graphics card is a GPU made from billions of transistors. But before it becomes a chip, its microscopic design is printed onto a 300mm silicon wafer using an EUV photolithography system β€” a machine that can cost over $200 million. Using extreme ultraviolet light, the machine prints one layer of each GPU chip at a time. In just seconds, it can pattern dozens of chips across a wafer, helping produce hundreds of thousands of microchips per day. This is how modern GPUs are made.
