People, today, we are in Yakutia, and it is the coldest place in Russia. Here, permafrost is on the average 820 ft thick. Winter temperature here habitually drops to minus 50 C, and the snow season lasts for nine months a year. Yakutia is Russia’s biggest republic by area, and if it were an independent state, it would rank as the world’s 8th biggest country ahead of Argentina. However, its population does not exceed a million of people. This is the only place on the planet that offers a job called “vymorozka,” and I will tell you all about it.
