I'm so happy to with you my list of Design Terminology! Throughout my years working as a Game Designer I've learnt that using the right terminology can help you go far as a Designer by communicating your ideas with those around you in the most clear way. It also helps to understand these different terms as principles in their own right to take into account while Designing ❤
These words are skewed toward games, as that is my speciality, however they are mostly universal throughout all types of Design (web design, product design, experience design, etc)
This video took me a good ol' while to finish as terminology is a tricky one because it can be used slightly differently depending on which Designer you speak to (I even checked with my colleagues on this). But I'm confident in saying that these should be the most useful words that will help you on your road to being a better designer, or even game developer! I hope it can be useful for you 😊
