Learning Godot 3.1 3D - Lowpoly Scene #1
Godot is known for its capabilities in 2d games. In this video I'm doing a lowpoly 3d graphics test. The terrain uses appropriate heighmap and vegetation placement textures. Grass is generated using shell fur material and particle techniques (with a little of color variations). The stones are also spread with the help of particles and a special picture placement map. Trees use the standard alpha scissors technique, currently placed manualy. The materials are mainly albedo mixed with noise and some vertex distortions. No GI probe is used in the scene. Godot currently does not support LOD volumetric lighting or fog and tessellation, however, using the lowpoly style it is possible to achieve acceptable graphics.
