Deep into Central Asian wastelands, there is a small town which reminds us of one of the greatest environmental caused by human actions in the 20th centruty. The glory of the former seaside town has been forgotten since the sea basically vanished, thanks to extensive irrigation which took water from rivers which were supplying it. It used to be a prosperous fishing town in the past but since the sea disappeared its citizens have faced new challenges after loosing their breadbasket. I went to see what's going on in that remote town on the edge of Kazakhstan and to learn how people continue living there despite the environmental distaster due to which the sea disappered.
