Traveling this close to one of the world's closest countries turned out to be way more challenging than I expected. Immigration officers and border police repeatedly stopped me, monitored my movements and, at times, even escorted me along the frontier. Despite all that, I managed to see North Korean villages, cities, factories, railways and people.
