A lot of people are scared of visiting slums and their concerns are understandable due to bad reputation of slums: pollution, poverty, inequality, illegal activities. Not only in India but worldwide. Nevertheless, I believe that an open mind can open new roads. In this episode, I'm traveling solo to Dharavi, one of the world's largest slum areas in Mumbai, India. We will explore the daily life and challenges of hard-working people living in Mumbai slum. I want to prove that even though you should still keep an eye peeled and take basic precautions, you shouldn't be scared of visiting slums and exploring the slum life. Filmed in February 2026.
