One Man Ain't Enough For Me - Anita Hardcok (Forgotten 1943 Song) Too Spicy for the 1940s?
Anita Hardcok was famously married 13 times, and I think this song shows why! Written for her 10th husband on their Honeymoon, they were already divorced when the song came out two months later! They say to write about what you know, but the 1940s censors thought differently and the song was banned two weeks later (ironically, days before Anita married her 11th husband!)
