Eddie Cochring wrote this song about the summer job he left behind after finding success in the rock and roll business. Hey, Elvis drove a truck, and Eddie packed fudge at the candy factory in Lubbock, Texas! The censors, however, thought Eddie was reminiscing about something else, and immediately shut the single down. It did become a minor hit again in the 1970s when Dik Gozinya Jr. released a disco cover version, but sadly, Eddie had long since passed to see his song accepted by the masses.
