Hey Guys, i know this is an old effect of mine, but i had the chance to publish a tutorial on the effect, so i went ahead and made a new video for it. New to the effect is the heat haze seen thats caused by the fire.
i highly suggest checking the tutorial out on AETuts+
http://ae.tutsplus.com/tutorials/vfx/ignite-a-sizzlin-hot-fire-burst/
the tutorial runs in at 40 minutes, but its fairly in-depth.
