MONSTERS OF THE WEEK NOCTURNE (1999): RESURRECTING A FORGOTTEN SURVIVAL HORROR CLASSIC #NocturneReview #SurvivalHorror Nocturne is the epitome of a horror game that’s impossible to boil down into a 2-digit number intended to quantify how “objectively” good it is. Released in 1999 and developed by Terminal Reality, it was technically so impressive that barely any computer could run it remotely smoothly at the time. It’s an incredibly atmospheric horror gaming gem in the truest sense of the metaphor, highly overlooked, neglected and dropped from distribution into obscure abandonware state, that - no matter how you end up feeling about it - will leave an impression on you. And it’s one that I keep being bummed about that it never received a proper sequel. **Support the Channel on Patreon: http://patreon.com/RagnarRoxShow **Or: Join the YouTube Channel Membership by clicking the “Join” button right below the video. __ How to Get Nocturne Running on Modern Systems: https://www.tumblr.com/ragnarrox/725720420628758528/how-to-get-nocturne-running-on-modern-systems Check out The Collection Chamber https://collectionchamber.blogspot.com/ I can also highly recommend @gothgamernation's video on Nocturne in case you want to hear more about it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIcFGF2w2dQ Chapters __ Captions (en): @miraprime474, Ragnar Ulricson Music __ Using excerpts from Nocturne soundtrack (included in the Collection Chamber package of the game) Silent Hill 4 OST by Akira Yamaoka Turrican OST by Chris Hülsbeck Chopin Nocturnes Op.9 No.2, performed by gballx Chopin Nocturnes Op.9 No.20, performed by Manriquedelara Blood OST by Daniel Bernstein & Guy Whitmore X-Files OST by Mark Snow When Johnny Comes Marching Home, performed by Orchestralis Nocturne of Noir Town, Deserted & Dark Velvet Jazz by Crypt-of-Insomnia __ Footage Credits: @LGR | Unreal Tournament 22 Years Later: An LGR Retrospective https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRF06DpQE0c @SvalPlay | Blair Witch Volume I: Rustin Parr | Full Game | Longplay Walkthrough No Commentary | [PC] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdoKoZl4LAE @SvalPlay | Blair Witch Volume II: The Legend of Coffin Rock | Full Game | Longplay Walkthrough No Commentary PC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cg6B3qqJIjQ @SHNHorror | Blair Witch Volume III: The Elly Kedward Tale | Walkthrough Gameplay No Commentary https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=didoZWvXjyg
