In this video, we’re gonna explore Shinji Mikami’s 1999 Survival Horror masterpiece Dino Crisis. Often dubbed ‘Resident Evil with Dinosaurs’, this game was an evolution of the survival horror formula that elevated the genre towards more intense action and panic focused gameplay all across the board. In many ways, it can be considered the missing link in the lineage between old-school survival horror and the modern, action-forward style pioneered by Resident Evil 4 in 2005. It’s still an absolute banger to play!
